JodoGyan Workshop

An interactive session for parents of class IV was held on 19.11.2011 by Komal of Jydogyan to discuss the ongoing curriculum in Mathematics. The focus of the workshop was discussing the strategies used in our classrooms to instill a deep understanding of the concepts of multiplication and developing the necessary skills through games. Parents appreciated the workshop and looked forward to more such workshops to attain clarity of the ongoing activities in the Maths Classes.

Workshop on 'Parenting' by Dr. Ravindran

Workshop on 'Parenting a Pre - teenager' was conducted for parents of VII and VIII std by Dr. V.S. Ravindran on 19th November 2011, Saturday.
The parents were equipped with certain core skills and principles of parenting a child during the pre - Adolescent years. Normal characteristics of this transition phase were also discussed. Ways to connect, guide and establish a close bond with a pre - teenagers was another highlight of the workshop. Relevant examples from everyday situations and individual queries from parents helped in understanding and building perspectives towards pre- teenagers.

Special Assembly on Children's Day

On 16.11.2011, students of class II-B conduced the assembly on Children’s Day. The assembly started with the School Prayer followed by dramatization of children’s textbook chapter’s namely. ‘नटखट चूहा ‘ and ‘A pet for Suraj’. Children recited a poem on Chacha Nehru Which was enjoyed by one and all. Barjesh and Shivika conducted a quiz on Nehruji’s life which gave a deep in sight to the Spectators . Last but not the least few parents spoke words of appreciation which was followed by the National Anthem.

Children's Day Celebration

Bal Diwas or Children’s Day, in India falls on November 14th every year and for good reason. It is celebrated on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday as a celebration of childhood, children and Nehruji’s love for them. As a tribute to this great man and his love for children, the staff members of The Heritage School organized various cultural programmes and sports activities to engage children in a day full of fun and frolic. The function started with the lighting of the lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. A medley of English songs, a dance recital, an indigenous poem by Mr. Aneesh and a whole lot of solo and duet songs were part of the function. It was a day especially set aside for the children to remember for a long time.

Class VIII B Special Assembly

On the morning of 09.11.2011, students of class VIII –B exhibited their talent by presenting a play “Is Ghost a myth or reality”, songs and article in the Special Assembly. Geetanjali and Simran introduced the theme with a small dialogue. Ishaan played the role of the ghost and Sahil was the confused passenger who was haunted by the ghosts all around. Rashi concluded the Assembly with two spooky songs with Tanmay on the guitar and chorus by Khushal, Annya and Harshika. This was followed by the National Anthem.
